Who is eligible to join Drivio?
All Approved Driving Instructors are able to join Drivio. You will need to hold a valid UK ADI Certificate of Registration and a valid full UK driving licence. You will need to have your own tuition vehicle.
We do not accept trainee driving instructors (PDI’s) to use the Drivio service.
What areas does Drivio cover?
Drivio can be used anywhere in the UK.
Currently, our network covers every Greater London postcode district plus many others within and around the M25. We have recently expanded up to Leeds.
This means the vast majority of learners will be based in these areas.
How do I sign up as a driving instructor?
To sign up as a driving instructor simply download the Drivio for Instructors app.
Once downloaded, just follow the steps to register your profile on Drivio. During the registration process, instructors will be asked in the following sections:
The registration process takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
We verify the identity of all new driving instructors. Once verified, your profile will be activated and you will be able to receive bookings from learners.
How do I map my working area?
To map your working area, all you need to do is tap on the map to set your first boundary point in the area you work.
Start to draw your map by tapping in a second location, and then a third. This will create a polygram for the areas you cover and you will only receive lessons within the highlighted zone. Use the zoom in and zoom out buttons to ascertain a location on the map.

Do I have to submit my bank details when signing up to Drivio?
You can set up your profile and receive bookings on Drivio without needing to give us any bank details.
However, at the latest, once you have completed a lesson you will need to give us your bank details or we won’t be able to pay you for it.

I have not heard back from Drivio about my verification status. What should I do?
We usually verify new ADI profiles within a few hours, but occasionally it can take longer. Should you not have received an answer about your verification process within 48 hours from you submitting your verification documents, please feel free to get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org
My profile has not been verified. What should I do?
We will contact you if there are any issues with your application, but there are usually two reasons why your profile has not been verified:

If you’re having difficulty submitting your verification documents, here are some tips to help you get it right:
Submit photos of original (not photocopied) and undamaged documents: Make sure that you submit each side–one of the front and one of the back – of your driving licence.
How do I keep my Calendar up-to-date with the Drivio app?
The Drivio app has an intuitive integrated calendar to keep your schedule in one place. If you are busy, simply block out the relevant time!
Keeping your diary up-to-date is crucial to avoid you having to reschedule or cancel any lessons.

How will I be notified once I receive a booking?
As soon as you receive a lesson booking you will be notified via app notifications, SMS and email.
It’s important that you confirm the lesson on the App within 48 hours. Otherwise, the system will automatically cancel the lesson and any payment(s) will be reversed.
How will I be notified if a learner cancels a lesson?
Will I be notified if the learner cancels a lessonyou immediately via app notifications, SMS and email.
You can contact the learner at any time via Drivio in-app Messenger to see if they wish to reschedule the lesson instead.You can contact the learner at any time via the in-app Messenger to discuss the cancellation or arrange another lesson.
I can’t make the lesson, what do I do?
If can’t attend the lesson, you should do the following:
Call or message learners via the app to let them know. Your personal contact details such as email address and phone number won’t be revealed by using the in-app services.
NotificNotification of any changes will be sent to both, you and the learner.
Can I integrate my Google Calendar with Drivio?
If you use Google Calendar to manage your driving lessons, you can integrate your Google Calendar with Drivio in one tap!
This will then automatically keep your Drivio Calendar updated without the need to manually update it.
What’s the difference between a cancellation and a rescheduling? How does it affect me?
Cancellations have a bigger impact than reschedulings because it will affect your ‘confirmation rate’ and potentially ‘reviews’.
If yIf you reschedule a lesson, you won’t lose the money for the booking. The learner’s payment will be kept and sent to you once the lesson has been completed.
If you cancel the lesson, the learner will be fully refunded. You could also lose out on the learner.
Cancelling and Rescheduling Lessons once the date/time has passed.
You won’t be able to reschedule or cancel the lesson if the date/time has passed.
Firstly, You will need to communicate with the learner. To make any changes to a lesson that has passed, please get in touch with us via support and we can help you further.
Cancelling or Rescheduling Blocks of Lessons
Can a learner reschedule a lesson that is included in a block booking?
Learners can reschedule a single lesson that is included in a block booking, providing that they give enough notice and are within the cancellation policy.
All rescheduling requests should be made on the app. An instructor will need to confirm rescheduling requests received from learners in order for any changes to be made.
Can a learner cancel a lesson that is included in a block booking?
Learners cannot cancel a single block booking lesson, they are only able to reschedule.
– If a learner wishes to cancel a lesson, they will cancel the total block of lessons.
– If a learner cancels a block booking, any discount applied to the block booking will be revoked. Completed lessons will be charged at the normal price per 1-hour lesson. Any amount due to an instructor will be recalculated and paid. Any remaining amount due to the learner will be refunded.
Can an instructor reschedule lessons that are included in a block booking?
Instructors can request to reschedule a lesson that is included in a block booking at any time. Rescheduling requests should be made on the app. The learner will need to confirm the rescheduling request you have sent in order for any changes to be made.
Can an instructor cancel lessons that are included in a block booking?
Once you have confirmed a block booking, you have committed to completing the total block booking with the learner.
Any lessons that an instructor has not completed or cancelled will be returned to the learner’s block of lessons and made available for the learner to book again.
Should you need to cancel the total block of lessons for an exceptional reason, then any discount applied to the block booking will remain. The learner will be refunded the remaining amount (less any completed lessons charged at the discounted rate).
Cancelling lessons by learners
If one of your learners decides to cancel a lesson with more than 48 hours’ notice, they’ll be entitled to a full refund.
If they cancel within less than 48 hours, but more than 24 hours before the lesson starts, they’ll receive a 50% refund, and you’ll pocket the other 50%.
If you’re given less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, you’ll still receive the full payment for the lesson.
Cancelling lessons by driving instructors
If a driving instructor cancels the lesson with the learner, they will receive a full refund.
In any other circumstances aside from cancellation, such as you failing to turn up for a lesson, learner drivers will also be refunded.
Keep in mind that cancellations affect your ‘cancellation rate’. This may lead to poor reviews from learners which are viewable to all future learners.
Rescheduling lessons by learners
Learners are able to reschedule booked lessons. If they reschedule last minute, the cancellation policy still stands so you are covered.
All learner drivers should get in contact with you via in-app messenger or send you a rescheduling request.
If they decide to reschedule their lessons less than 48 hours before the intended start time, this will be treated the same as a cancellation.

Rescheduling lessons by driving Instructors
If you know you are not going to be available for a lesson, you can easily reschedule it to a day or time that suits you better.
It’s then up to the learner to accept or reject your rescheduling offer.
If you are rescheduling an unconfirmed booking, you have 48 hours from original booking times to agree with the learner on a suitable time for the lesson. After that, the booking gets automatically cancelled.
How can I interact with learners?
You can communicate with your learners via the in-app messenger or the in-app calling feature.
This is the most efficient way to keep in contact with your learners or to discuss any changes to lessons. Using this service will also help keep your communication history all in one place for future reference.
There is no charge to use these features, they are free to use.
Can I communicate with learners before they make a booking?
You can not communicate with all learners on the platform. You will only be able to communicate with the learner(s) who have made a lesson booking with you.
What will I be charged?
With Drivio you will not be charged any deposits or franchise fees. There are also no fees to use the App, list your profile and receive lesson bookings.
We only charge a small commission fee on completed lessons.
When you set the price for your driving lessons in the app, our commission fee will appear on the screen accordingly.
Fees make Drivio possible and help us support our ADIs with marketing efforts and product development. The payout you’ll receive is what you charge your learners minus the commission fee.

How will I be paid?
During the registration process, we ask you to provide us with your bank account details. We require your account number and sort code and this will be used to process any payments to you.
Payments for completed lessons are processed to instructors daily (weekdays at 9 pm). Payments will include a total amount for lessons that have been completed 24 hours earlier.
Drivio offers two options of payouts – ‘Standard Payouts’ and ‘Fast Payouts’.
Standard Payouts: Payments take 3-5 working days to appear in your bank account, but usually, this does arrive sooner. There’s no transaction fee for standard payouts.
Fast Payouts: Payments take up to 1 hour to appear in your bank account from the time the payment is processed (usually it takes a couple of minutes only). 1.7% transaction fee applied.
Am I able to change my bank account details to receive my next payment?
YYou cannot change your bank account details directly via the app. Please, get in contact with us so that we can assist you further.
What if I haven’t received the payment I was expecting?
You can send us a message via the in-app messenger and we will take a look into this for you. Alternatively, you can email email@example.com with your concern.
How will I know what lessons I’ve been paid for?
Drivio sends payout confirmation via email every time a payment is processed to your account.
How can I contact Drivio if I’m having difficulties with the app?
First, check that you have the latest version of the Drivio app, and download the latest version if needed.
If you have tried this and you are still having issues with the app, then send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will look into it right away.
How can I get in touch with you if I’m having difficulties with a learner?
Firstly, make sure you have tried to communicate with the learner via the app.
If you are still having trouble contacting the learner or have some concerns, please message us via the in-app messenger and we will assist you further.
What is Drivio and how does it work?
